The Winchester Poetry Prize 2024 is now open for entries.

Poems submitted must be previously unpublished, written in English, and be under 40 lines. They can be any style, form, or theme.

There are cash prizes of £250 (3rd), £500 (2nd), and £1000 (1st). The Kathryn Bevis Prize will be awarded to the best poem written by a Hampshire-based poet.

The longlist will be announced in September, and winners will be announced live at Winchester Poetry Day at The ARC. Winning and commended poems will be published in a competition anthology that will be made available on the day.
