The Stephen Spender Prize 2024 is now open for submissions for their Schools Laureate Prize.

The prize is open for teachers submitting entries on behalf of their students in all schools in the UK and Ireland – including homework clubs, Saturday schools, private tutor groups and home-schools – and British schools overseas.

For each student, submit an English translation of a published poem from any language, together with either a written commentary or any one of the alternative creative responses listed on the Schools Laureate Prize page.

There are three cash prizes of £75 in the KS3 category, and £100 in the KS4 and KS5 category. All winners will also be published on the Stephen Spender Trust website and in the Stephen Spender Prize 2024 booklet, as well as being invited to participate in a livestreamed awards ceremony in the autumn.
