Poetry London Prize

The Poetry London Prize is a major, internationally renowned award for a single outstanding poem. The first prize is £5,000, second prize is £2,000 and third prize is £1,000. This year’s judge is the award-winning poet, critic and translator Ilya Kaminsky. 

Ilya Kaminsky is the author of Deaf Republic (Faber, 2019) and Dancing in Odessa (Arc, 2004) as well as co-editor of The Ecco Anthology of International Poetry and Dark Elderberry Branch: Poems of Marina Tsvetaeva, among other books. Deaf Republic was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best Collection and the TS Eliot Prize, as well as the National Book Award in the USA.

The prize has been won by and helped launch the careers of many acclaimed poets, including Liz Berry, Niall Campbell, Richard Scott, and Romalyn Ante.
