The inaugural Patricia Eschen Prize for Poetry 2022 is now open for entries, sponsored by the Dennis Myner Trust and the Morrab Library in Penzance.

Both adult and children’s categories will be judged by Cornwall poets Penelope Shuttle and Katrina Naomi.

Poems can be on any subject, and a maximum length of 40 lines. Poems must be written in English.

Open to international entries.

The prize money for the adult’s category will be: £1000 first prize; £500 second prize; £300 third prize. The winners of the children’s competition will be awarded: £150 first prize; £100 second prize; £50 third prize.
