The East Riding Festival of Words is now open for entries under the theme of "My Perfect Place".

Submitted poems must be previously unpublished, no longer than 45 lines, and written in the English language.

There are three 13 cash prizes available across the Adult and Young Poets divisions:

Adults
East Riding Gold Prize - £500
East Riding Silver Prize - £200
East Riding Bronze Prize - £150
2x Highly Commended - £25 each

Young poets
East Riding Secondary 1st Prize - £75
East Riding Secondary 2nd Prize - £50
2x Highly Commended - £25 each
East Riding Primary 1st Prize - £75
East Riding Secondary 2nd Prize - £50
2x Highly Commended - £25 each

There will also be a prize giving event at North Bridlington Library, Bridlington.
