East Riding Festival of Words Poetry Competition

The East Riding Festival of Words poetry competition is now open for entries. This year’s theme is “My companion, my best friend.”

Entries will be judges by a panel of published Yorkshire poets, including James Nash.

There are 14 prizes available this year, with £500 for the first placed adult.

The Young Poets categories are spilt into Primary School aged and Secondary School aged, with a £75 first prize for each category.

Adult submissions (17+) have a fee of £4 per poem. School aged children, submissions are free.
