Creative Future Writers' Award 2021

The 2021 Creative Future Writers’ Award is now open for entries in short fiction and poetry from UK writers from under-represented backgrounds. This year's theme is Essential. (Submitted work should respond to the theme, implicitly or explicitly, but the competition organisers are looking for quality writing first and foremost. The theme is a creative prompt, not a requirement.)

The CF Writers’ Award is a national competition and writing development programme which celebrates talented, underrepresented writers who lack opportunities due to mental health issues, disability, health or social circumstance.

Prizes:
Prizes include £10,000 of cash and top writing development prizes supplied by prominent publishers and development agencies. There will also be a high-profile award event, featuring a selection of readings from the award winning submissions, as well as performances from prominent guest authors, and winning submissions will be published in an anthology alongside work by guest authors, available in hard copy and as an e-book.

Judges:
Dorothy Koomson (chief judge/host)
Joelle Taylor (guest judge/author)
