The Morrab Library has partnered with the Dennis Myner Trust for the second Patricia Eschen Prize for Poetry.

The children's competition is open for young writers across the world. Poems can be under any theme. It is not necessary to have good spelling or perfect grammar to enter – poems will be judged on originality and creativity, rather than how they are executed.

There are cash prizes given to winners in specific age groups:

Aged 4-11: £25 (3rd), £50 (2nd), and £75 (1st)
Aged 12-17: £50 (3rd), £100 (2nd), and £150 (1st)
