Poetry Writing Workshop with Anthony Hett
Join Keats House's recently appointed Poet in Residence, Anthony Hett, for a 'drop in' poetry writing session where participants will use photos of themselves or images of Keats as prompts for their writing.
In September, Anthony will host a special event to share the work that he has written during his residency and encourage new writers who have joined him at these ‘drop in’ sessions to perform their work to the invited audience.
Anthony Hett is a London-based Welsh poet and director; he has been a Keats House Poet since 2010 and performed regularly at the House. During his residency he will visit Keats House on a weekly basis to find inspiration for his first collection of poems, provisionally titled Pictures of Me. His collection will be a selection of autobiographical poetry, prompted and inspired by photographs of himself taken between the ages of 0 and 33. Each poem will be presented in chronological order, alongside the photograph which inspired it.
