German-born British poet & artist Michael Horovitz OBE has died.
Horovitz was influential in extending the work of the Beats in the UK, and was involved in the 'Wholly Communion' event at the Royal Albert Hall in 1965. He worked with us on a visual art exhibition, performed at our Blake Sunday celebration in 2008 and was an avid borrower from the collection, which contains more than 20 of his publications. Known for breaking into song at his poetry readings, he'll be a sadly missed presence on the poetry scene.
