Hannah Lowe has scooped the £30,000 Costa Book of the Year Prize for her third collection The Kids. The book won first place in the poetry category and then went on to win overall. It features 66 sonnets drawing on her years of teaching A-level English, and on the poet's experience of adolescence and motherhood. It was also shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize and was a Poetry Book Society Choice for Autumn 2021.
