[ONLINE] How To Carry Water: A Poetry Workshop with Alycia Pirmohamed

Poet Alycia Pirmohamed will be hosting an online workshop looking at the metaphorical potential of water, and the themes that it comes to represent in poetry.

The workshop will involve looking at poems from poets like Lucille Clifton, as well giving space for group discussion and guided writing exercises. There will also be time allocated to share work during the session.

Alycia Pirmohamed is the author of the poetry collection Another Way to Split Water. Her other works include HingeFaces that Fled the Wind, and the collaborative work, Second Memory, which was co-authored by Pratyusha. She is the recipient of several awards including a Pushcart Prize, the CBC Poetry Prize, and the 2020 Edwin Morgan Poetry Award.
