Mary Wilson died earlier this year aged 102. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn paid tribute to her as a "wonderful poet" and "huge support in Harold's general election victories".

 

A friend of the late poet laureate Sir John Betjeman, her own poems were published in the 1970s in two volumes and sold in their tens of thousands.
