Could you write a poem to amuse, excite or inspire children? That’s the challenge posed in the YorkMix Poems For Children Competition.
The first prize is £250, with runner-up prizes of £100, £75 and £50.
The inaugural judge is Carole Bromley, poet in residence at YorkMix. The judge will also award certificates for Highly Commended and Commended poems.
Poems must be in English – and suitable for children – but they can be of any length.
