Winchester Poetry Prize 2022

Entries for the Winchester Poetry Prize are now open for anyone aged 16 or over. Poems can be on any subject, in any form or style and no longer than 40 lines. A number of free entries are also available for poets on a low income through a Pay It Forward scheme.

First Prize: £1000
Second Prize £500
Third Prize £250

Long-listed poets will be invited to read at the prize-giving event in Winchester where the winners will be announced. Winning and commended poems will be published in a competition anthology to be launched on the day. There will also be a prize available for the best poem written by a Hampshire-based poet.
