The Streetcake Experimental Writing Prize will be one of the first of its kind, aimed at young people (18-26 years old), who are creating writing that extends the possibilities and boundaries of the contemporary literature mold. Streetcake want to recognise and develop writers in this age group, who will shape the future of experimental writing and bring new ideas to the genre.

Some things the magazine are looking for are new forms of short fiction and poetry, unconventional ideas, funny and dark content, imaginative presentations, concrete and asemic writing, strong imagery, and much more!  Entrants are encouraged to read some of what Streetcake has published to give an idea of what they mean by 'experimental'.
