This winter The Poetry Society's Young Poets Network is teaming up with Newcastle University to inspire young writers everywhere to respond creatively to the digital Bloodaxe Archive. It's a collection of drafts, letters, notes and scribblings of some of the most established poets in the UK, and you can access it for free online.
In the third Bloodaxe Archive challenge, poets aged up to 25 (inclusive) are invited to radically redraft someone else’s poem from the Bloodaxe Archive. Once you've applied the steps (including, for example, setting the poem in space), you'll have a brand new poem of your own. Enter for the chance to win Bloodaxe books, publication and a performance slot at the prestigious Newcastle Poetry Festival.
