Poems for Peace Competition

November 2018 marked 100 years since the death of Wilfred Owen, one of the foremost poets of his generation. Peace Poetry is an anthology of new poems responding to Wilfred Owen’s life and work and whether poetry can ever bring about peace.

Win a signed copy of the Peace Poetry anthology and National Book Tokens for yourself and your school library. A number of poems will also be published on the Royal Society of Literature's website.

The RSL want your poems in response to the anthology or to what peace means to you. Your work might include:

  • What peace feels like to you
  • What you want your future to look like
  • How poetry written in the past can help us imagine a better future

The Poems for Peace project is in partnership with First Story and made possible through funding from Arts Council England.
