The Guernsey International Poetry Competition

The 2021 Guernsey International Poetry Competition (Poems on the Move), organised by the Guernsey Literary Festival, is now open for submissions. There is a maximum length of 14 lines for individual poems.

The competition, which is sponsored by Guernsey Post, has three categories:
Open (18 and over)
Young People’s Category (11-17)
Channel Island residents (18 and over)

Prizes:
Nine finalists (three from each category) will have their work displayed at the 'Poems on the Move Exhibition 2021', first at Guernsey airport, then all over the island.
All nine finalists, and a further twelve from all categories, will be displayed in the 'Poems on the Buses Exhibition 2021' on Guernsey buses.

There will also be cash prizes for the 'Open' category:
1st Prize - £1,000
2nd Prize - £500
3rd Prize - £250
