Carol Ann Duffy Challenge

The Poetry Society's Young Poets Network has launched a call for young writers aged up to 25 to pen poems in response to Carol Ann Duffy's works - her poems, plays, speeches and more.

With images of onion-valentines, ghost-mothers and David Beckham as Achilles, there's so much in Duffy's writing to inspire your poetry. Young Poets Network have worked with Duffy expert Mari Hughes-Edwards to explore Duffy's work and create prompts and lots of exciting ways to respond.

Carol Ann Duffy's term as Poet Laureate ends on 31 April, and the winning poems will be published online in a celebration of her legacy as Laureate. Selected winners will also receive prizes including an exclusive Young Poets Network notebook, poetry books, posters and more.
