Betjeman Poetry Prize

For children and young people aged 10-13 living anywhere in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. Write a poem on the theme of 'place'. This years judges are Scottish Makar Jackie Kay and poet Zaffar Kunial.

The top fifty poems are printed in the BPP 2018 anthology.

Finalists will read their poems on National Poetry Day in front of an audience at St Pancras Station, London, and the winning poet will receive £500, and £500 for their school.

All finalists will also be invited on a Betjeman Poetry Camp in Spring 2019. Every teacher who enters their class joins a prize draw to win a poet visit.
