The first of an exciting new series - Hedgehog Press are looking for poems that introduce a beloved pet.

Whether that is a dog, a cat, a white mouse or a gecko, we would love to see how you celebrate them in verse, but this is a competition with a twist.

The winner will receive £100, plus 250 copies of their poem beautifully printed in Artcard form. Their poem will be beautifully reproduced in a new anthology, to be published by the Hedgehog Poetry Press.

All the shortlisted poets will be invited to have their handwritten poem included in the anthology too - everybody who has their work featured will receive copies of the finished work.

The competition will be judged by Mark Davidson, Editor of The Hedgehog Poetry Press.
