Three Poets Reading: Penny Boxall, Nina Powles and Jennifer Wong

Penny Boxall is currently Visiting Research Fellow at Merton College, Oxford. She has won awards including the 2016 Edwin Morgan Poetry Award and the 2018 Mslexia/PBS Women’s Poetry Competition. Her second collection Who Goes There?  is published by Valley Press. Boxall has held residencies at the Hawthornden Castle and Cove Park. 
 

In 2018 Nina Mingya Powles was one of three winners of the Women Poets' Prize. She is the author of several pamphlet collections, including field notes on a downpour (If a Leaf Falls Press, 2018), Luminescent (Seraph Press, 2017) and Girls of the Drift (Seraph Press, 2014). Her prose debut, a food memoir, will be published by The Emma Press in late 2019. In 2018 her essay Small Bodies of Water won the Daunt Books Ladies Pond Essay Competition. She is also co-editor of the Shanghai Literary Review and the founding editor of Bitter Melon Poetry.

Jennifer Wong is the author of two poetry books including Summer Cicadas and Goldfish published by Chameleon Press and a new pamphlet, The Diary of a Miu Miu Salesgirl (Bitter Melon Poetry, 2019). Her new collection, Letters Home, will be published by Nine Arches Press in 2020.
