Sunday Service: Poetry with Miranda Peake, Robin Houghton, Tania Hershman and Katie Griffiths

Celebrate International Women’s Day with poetry performances from Miranda Peake, Robin Houghton, Tania Hershman and Katie Griffiths who were the four winners of the 2019 Live Canon Pamphlet Competition.

 
Miranda Peake is a poet and visual artist based in London. Her poems have been published in journals and magazines including Ambit, Banshee, Bare Fiction, Oxford Poetry, Magma, The Moth and The Rialto. In 2014 she won the Mslexia Poetry Competition and in 2018 she was placed second in the Poetry and Psychoanalysis Competition. 
 
Robin Houghton’s most recent pamphlet , Why? , was a winner in the Live Canon Pamphlet Competition in 2019. Her work has also won the Cinnamon Press Pamphlet Competition and the Hamish Canham Prize from the Poetry Society. Robin’s poetry appears in many magazines including Agenda, Magma, Poetry News, The Moth and The Rialto and in numerous anthologies including The Best New British and Irish Poets 2017 (Eyewear).
 
Tania Hershman is the author of poetry collection, Terms and Conditions (Nine Arches, 2017),  poetry chapbook, Nothing Here is Wild, Everything is Open (Southword, 2016), and three short story collections. Her hybrid poetry/prose pamphlet is forthcoming from Guillemot Press in March 2020. 
 
Katie Griffiths was awarded second prize in the National Poetry Competition in 2019 and in 2016 was published in Primers Volume One by Nine Arches Press. Katie is also singer-songwriter in the band A Woman in Goggles.
