Workshop

The Portable Generator

Join this intensive writing day with acclaimed novelist and Faber poet Joe Dunthorne.

In this workshop, participants  will use a variety of different catalysts as a way to approach new work: a poem that emerges from the ‘random page’ function on Wikipedia; a poem written using dialogue overheard on our lunch break; a poem that only uses one vowel. Inspiration will be taken from poets like Holly Pester, Frances Leviston, Don Paterson and Hera Lindsay Bird.

At the end of this workshop, you will definitely have a handful of surprising, new poems. You may even like them!
