The Emma Press Pamphlet Trio Launch
Join The Emma Press for the launch of a trio of their pamphlets! These are their first three pamphlets of 2019 following an open call for submissions in late 2017.
Poets reading include Kathy Pimlott, Jeffrey Sugarman and Lenni Saunders.
Kathy Pimlott will be reading from her second pamphlet, Elastic Glue, which was published on 28 February. The poems are rooted in Covent Garden, specifically Seven Dials, and explore themes of gentrification and community.
Jeffrey Sugarman will be reading from his debut pamphlet, Dear Friend(s), which is due to be published on 11 April. The long title poem is an elegy – to a specific “Dear Friend”, dead from AIDS in its earliest years.
Lenni Sanders will be reading from their first collection, Poacher, which is due to be published on 16 May. Influenced by magical realism and wryly funny, the poems in Poacher put strange characters in mundane places.
